From Insomniacs, a verse where it all exists, a boy called Noé Quin is born into a coven of very talented witches. The family name has not yet struck in the magic crafts world, but his three older sisters - Lídia, Eunice and Iva - are well on the way to become a sensation in a very private academy. That is, until a group of witch hunters find the school and open fire on every single girl and woman inside.

Now the only child left in a grieving family, Noé plots revenge with his parents and gains a great deal of ambition in the process. He attempts to reach several deities, though it is only the goddess Hecate who responds to his call, trading him a fragment of her power for his loyalty and sacrifices. To keep himself safe he breaks whatever family ties he has left - giving his parents an honorable death - and adopts a new name, setting off on a journey to track down every hunter he can.

His magic manifests through spoken word. Though there are no fixed sentences of poems to make something specific happen, he does need his voice and to formulate words with the right intention. Take any of those factors out of the equation and he's useless, a fact he obviously does not want to get out. Now known as Morgan Fable (did he even try with that name tho), his real name is a secret and will do anything to keep it that way. He even made a deal with his mother and father to give them peaceful deaths so that his secret(s) would never be compromised, a fact to which they agreed on so long as he carried out their collected revenge. If properly invoked, they will sometimes come to him to offer advice as spirits. This family is weird, man.

He is surprisingly calm for a witch who is hellbent on finding and killing a bunch of people who find and kill witches for a living. This is most likely not a good sign.
